Walking trails
Five walking trails go past the
mill. The longest is 16 km.

Walking in the Champagne-Ardennes
There are five great walking routes (with lengths of 2, 5, 7, 15 and 16 km) immediately accessible from the mill. You’ll find maps for them inside the gîte

In addition there is a long, beautiful walk just below Sedan characterized by an alteration between rich forests, pastures, quaint villages, and abandoned monasteries. Why not start your day at the beautiful Elan,  walking through vast forests, along streams, and around lakes.

Elan
The original monastery was founded around 1150 by Saint Roger, an English abbot.

In springtime, the surrounding
woods represent Elan at its best.

Cycling between Reims and Charleville-Mézières
The gentle hills around Tourteron make ideal terrain for a range of cycling abilities. You’re welcome to bring your own bikes, of course, but if you need to rent them just tell us and we’ll arrange it.

The towns in this region are committed to doing everything possible to keep cyclists safe. For starters, they’re developing a green route for bicycles, and a plan for traffic-free cycle paths in the Champagne-Ardennes is in the works.

Cycling in the Tour of Tourteron
The Grand Prix of Tourteron is held every year on the first Saturday in August. The route of this great race goes from Tourteron by Lametz (RD 28) to La Sabotterie (RD28C) via l'Anerie (RD28C) and back to Tourteron. There are 12 laps of 9.4 kilometers, for a total of 112.8km. It’s a very festive affair with music, excellent food (especially BBQ) and a real party atmosphere.
